Starbreeze Studios and OVERKILL announce the release of the first DLC in the new Hostile Takeover Bundle; The Street Smart Tailor Pack.
The Hostile Takeover Bundle is available starting today, November 16th. A mod pack will release December 22nd, A weapon pack February 1st, 2023 and a heist will release February 22nd, 2023.
The bundle follows the same strategy as the previously released Lost in Transit bundle. With the bundle available at a discount up front as its DLCs release in the following months.
 
Texas Heat
The heisters are powering forwards in the Texas Heat campaign, here’s a quick recap of events so far. Gun runner Gemma McShay invited us to Texas to pull a heist on her biggest rival, and to find info on who&#8217;s pulling his strings. While she combed our intel, we launched a train robbery for the ages to liberate some valuable printing plates on their way to a mint facility. Now, our journey takes an unexpected turn to an oil company&#8217;s headquarters in Dallas. We&#8217;ve discovered who was bankrolling Midland Ranch, and a new ally wants to take her down. Time for a little corporate espionage!
 
Street Smart Tailor Pack
The Street Smart Tailor Pack sets you up as the undisputed ruler of the streets! Our new mission in Texas from gun runner Gemma McShay brings us to the heart of Dallas, we want to make sure to look our best, and to look our best, we need to look Street Smart. Released today, this Tailor Pack contains 3 unique outfits each coming with 4 varieties in addition to 3 masks, each with 2 varieties. The Street Smart Tailor Pack is available either as a stand-alone DLC or as part of the Hostile Takeover Bundle.
Hostile Takeover Bundle
Bundling the brand new content together with four upcoming DLCs and setting them at a hefty discount up-front for players who invest early.
First up in the bundle is the Street Smart Tailor Pack, containing 3 outfits with a total of 9 variations as well as 3 masks each in two varieties. Following that is the McShay Mod Pack, containing several new mods as well as a few new heisting tools. In February we get the McShay Weapon Pack 3 after which the bundle is completed by the release of the Hostile Takeover Heist.

A new DLC and Bundle for PAYDAY 2™ – Street Smart Tailor Pack & Hostile Takeover Bundle

Starbreeze Studios and OVERKILL deliver the fourth and final DLC of the Lost in Transit bundle, the heist that gave the bundle its name, the Lost in Transit heist.
The Lost in Transit Bundle and the High Octane Tailor Pack were released on Steam July 13th, followed by the Tijuana Music Pack on August 31st and McShay Weapon Pack 2 released September 21st. The bundle is completed with the Lost in Transit Heist released, October 25th.
 
Lost in Transit Heist
Deep among the well guarded trains awaiting departure, there are many valuables lying hidden in the traincar vaults. None carry more potential for future wealth than the printing plates being carefully moved
The Lost in Transit heist takes the players to a Texas train yard. Hidden in vaults among the train cars are the valuable printing plates that our client is after.
The heist is available in both stealth and loud.
Lost in Transit Bundle
This bundle contains 4 DLC’s released over the course of 3 months. This serves not only to give the best price with up to a 44 % discount, to those who invest in us early, but also gives our team the time they need to finish every piece of content without a huge release deadline of having everything released at once looming in the distance.

In addition to the heist, we released a brand new shielded enemy. The Marshal Shields have high-tech shields with built-in flashlights able to blind anyone looking at them. These shields are breakable by the players and once broken, the Marshal pulls out his big gun and changes strategy. McShay Weapon Pack 2
Gemma McShay continues her cooperation with the PAYDAY gang and offers up three new weapons. All three weapons has its own Exclusive Set, giving players a choice of style with each weapon. Two of the weapons are available for dual-wielding (akimbo), while the last weapon boasts 15 barrels, able to fire quickly or firing all barrels at once like an extra deadly shotgun.

●        The Kahn .357 Revolvers
●        The VD-12 Shotguns
●        The Hailstorm Mk 5 Special Weapon
Free Items
In addition to the DLC, we’re releasing two free weapon charms as well as a new ammo type for all shotguns, the Tombstone slugs.
The Tombstone Slugs are a new ammo type for shotguns being released for free alongside the McShay Weapon Pack 2 update. The slugs deal less damage up front, instead using the same type of poison as the Viper grenades, causing enemies to throw up and be unable to fight back until they’ve recovered.

A new DLC for PAYDAY 2™ – The Tijuana Music Pack DLC as part of the Lost in Transit Bundle is released today

Today, the 11th of August 2022, PAYDAY 2™ celebrates 9 amazing years of PAYDAY 2. The highlights of this event is the new community event where the community works together to unlock cosmetic rewards. In addition to the event and rewards, OVERKILL_Almir is hosting a stream this afternoon at 17:00 CEST on the paydaythegame <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/paydaythegame">Twitch Channel</a>. 
It’s been 9 years since PAYDAY 2 first released. Ever since, PAYDAY 2 has been at the forefront of co-op and heisting games and has often sat as one of the most played titles on Steam.Over the years, images from PAYDAY 2 have been referenced in several popular games and even in big title movies. The PAYDAY 2 team is incredibly grateful to its community and fans for all the support they have shown over these past 9 years and hopes to see everyone for years to come.
Over the course of our anniversary celebration the event centers around a golden pig. Players collect valuables, put them in the piggy and the piggy grows larger. Once the pig is fed to bursting, rewards are unlocked. An individual can’t unlock these items, but needs to work with the rest of the community by filling up the meter on our <a href="https://pd2.link/PD2NinthNW">event website</a>.

A crowd favorite, the cash blaster, returns for the second time. Last year the PAYDAY 2 community used the Cash Blaster to &#8220;make contributions to the police retirement fund&#8221;. This year the Cash Blaster is back with a renewed purpose, to feed a golden pig. Using the Cash Blaster will be one of the best ways of progressing the community event filling the pig and progressing both personal and community challenges.

Blaine Keegan, Texan, crook and family man. He is looking to turn a new leaf in his older days, and wants to leave a legacy for his family, a legal one. That legacy being all of Texas. And so, he’s set his sight on the highly lucrative, but cutthroat oil industry. Keegan wants nothing more than to go legit and hand over his criminal empire to his right hand, and family arms-dealer, Gemma McShay. She contacts the Payday Gang with an offer they can’t refuse…
The Midland Ranch heist takes place at a closed-off Texas ranch, instead of the usual fare of cattle, horses or tourists however. The only thing running through this ranch though are guns and soon, criminals.

A new DLC for PAYDAY 2™ – The final Midland Bundle DLC released today

With the inclusion of PAYDAY 2 Standard Edition, this Bundle also acts as an alternative entry point to potential new customers. The cost of the Standard Edition will not affect the price for anyone who already owns PAYDAY 2.

The City of Gold story
The City of Gold saga takes us from the iconic streets of San Francisco to the middle of the pacific ocean and back again, crossing the triads every step of the way.
Starting with the Dragon heist, we start with a tip from Jiu Feng, leading us to a golden dragon, hidden away in an innocent looking tea shop.
The Triad doesn’t take kindly to being robbed however and quickly strike back against Vlad himself, kidnapping him and putting him through grueling torture in order to find the identity of the clown masked robbers that stole their precious gold dragon.
Our heisters set out and save Vlad from an unpleasant fate, and prepare to strike back, in the first step they board the Black Cat which not only makes the Triad a tidy profit, but also acts as a floating bank for much of the Triad’s finances.
Having crippled their finances, the Gang returns to San Francisco where, with the help of triad insider Shayu the Gang seeks to invade the Triads US base of operations and put an end to Yufu Wang, the triad leader.

The Midland Bundle and the Southbound Tailor Pack will be available on Steam on April 20th, followed by the McShay Weapon Pack on May 11th, lastly, the Midland Heist on June 15th.
 
Midland Bundle
We’ve changed how we package our DLC’s. This bundle contains 3 DLC’s released over the next few months. This serves not only to give the best price to those who invest in us early, but also gives our team the time they need to finish every piece of content without a huge release deadline of having everything released at once looming in the distance.
The Midland bundle is set as a static bundle, meaning it’s giftable through Steam, it does mean however that players are unable to ‘top up’ as is possible with some of our other bundles, it also means that purchasing one DLC outside of the Bundle will prevent you from getting the Bundle afterwards.
In addition to the Southbound Tailor Pack released today the Bundle will add the McShay Weapon Pack, containing 3 new weapons: an LMG, a Sniper Rifle, and a Grenade Launcher able to fire a new type of grenade. In the same DLC, we get 6 weapon charms, 2 exclusive weapon sets and 9 weapon mods. The McShay weapon pack is released May 11th.
Rounding off the pack is the Midland Ranch Heist which releases on June 15th.
 
Southbound Tailor Pack
The Payday Gang gets contacted with an offer. Renowned smuggler, Gemma McShay offers a new and lucrative opportunity in Texas. As a gesture of good will, she sends the crew a shipment of new outfits, allowing the heisters to blend in as they head southbound to Texas.To sweeten the deal, she gives us a taste at what kind of goods she can provide, not least of which is a type of grenade new to the Payday Crew.
The Southbound Tailor Pack contains two Outfits Trailblazer &amp; Rough Rider each with 4 variations. Also included in the Tailor Pack; 2 Masks in 7 variations, 3 baseball cap variants, 4 cowboy hats variants and 4 glove variants.

Starbreeze Studios and OVERKILL are happy to announce two new DLCs for PAYDAY 2. We’re releasing a new heist and a tailor pack rounding off the City of Gold chapter in style.

Mountain Master Heist
Yufu Wang has crossed the Payday Gang for the last time. It’s time to put an end to him, his triad and their whole operation. Using their new connections in Asia, the gang has tracked Yufu Wang down, and are coming in hard, equipped with new gear and ready for revenge.
 
Golden Dagger Tailor Pack
To break into the home of the Golden Dagger triad’s leader, you’ll need to fit in. The Red Pole outfit will have you looking like you belong in both an upscale apartment building. The Master’s Mantle will ensure you fit in among the triads higher echelons.
Pick any of the 8 variations you like and pair with your favorite mask and gloves for your ultimate look while finishing the last heist in the City of Gold saga.
The following is included in the Golden Dagger Tailor Pack:

●        4 gloves
All PAYDAY 2 players will also recieve the Dragon Bomber White and Laohu dashi outfits for free, the Laohu outfit comes in 4 variations. In addition, a mask is available for those that complete the challenge set in-game.

Two new DLCs for PAYDAY 2™ – Mountain Master & Golden Dagger Tailor pack released today

The Jiu Feng Smuggler pack 4 includes these 3 new weapons.

</ul>
Each new weapon comes with 3 custom mods in addition to the Shotgun and SMG having 1 Exclusive set each offering another layer of customization for the players.
In addition to the new weapons and exclusive sets, the pack contains 9 new weapon modifications and 4 new weapon colors.
<a href="https://sbz.studio/SmugglerPack4SBZS">The Jiu Feng Smuggler Pack 4</a> is available on Steam for $3.99 and is scheduled for release on February 16th, 2022.
Exclusive sets
Exclusive Weapon sets are a way to add something extra to our weapons while letting our weapon artists flex their skills. The Exclusive sets allow you to get a custom look and mod-setup for specific weapons, things such as built in laser sights, custom rails, fancy new display panels and more. With just a single click, you can have a badass alternate form of the weapons you already love, fully modded and ready for action.
Free Update
Outside of the paid content, we’re also introducing 2 free mods available for everybody: Zenitco 4-p &#8211; Compact Russian laser sight &amp; Zenitco dtk putnik &#8211; Unique compact suppressor. For the whole update there will be 11 different mods &#8211; paid and free.
During the 10 year anniversary event of PAYDAY we held a suit design contest. Despite promising one winner we liked the entries so much that we instead chose 3 winning outfits. These outfits are released alongside the Jiu Feng Smuggler pack 4, free for all PAYDAY 2 players.

Jiu Feng Smuggler Pack 4

The board of directors of Starbreeze AB has appointed Adolf Kristjansson as new CEO. Adolf will assume his position on April 1st, 2025. He replaces the current interim CEO, Mats Juhl, who will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer of Starbreeze.
Adolf Kristjansson has spent over two decades in the gaming industry, and has held roles working with some of the world’s most renowned gaming IPs, including FIFA, Battlefield, Apex, and Star Wars. During his tenure at Electronic Arts, he served as International Commercial Senior Director, Global Head of Digital, and Global Strategic Franchise Director. Adolf holds a degree of Master of Business Administration Finance.
