The new Gamefam-developed experience will offer players a distinct new entry point into the PAYDAY universe. Roblox, which now has 145 million DAU (up 70% YoY), continues to grow in importance as a key platform for Starbreeze to connect with its existing PAYDAY fanbase and build all-new fans.
The announcement marks the next step in Starbreeze&#8217;s strategy to grow the PAYDAY franchise across platforms, building on the success of Notoriety: A PAYDAY® Experience on Roblox, developed by Moonstone Games under license, which has surpassed 400 million visits and holds a 92% player approval rating, establishing PAYDAY as one of Roblox&#8217;s most successful co-op franchises.
Gamefam brings extensive experience developing and operating some of Roblox&#8217;s most-played games, with a 50+ game portfolio that has surpassed 37 billion gameplay sessions to date and 16 million daily gameplay sessions. Gamefam has been the go-to Roblox partner for major game publishers including SEGA (Sonic Speed Simulator) and Ubisoft (Brawlhalla) and global brands including Old Navy, Intuit, Paramount and FIFA.

Starbreeze Partners with Gamefam to Expand PAYDAY® Franchise with Second Game on Roblox

Starbreeze Entertainment today announces that Fast Travel Games has revealed PAYDAY: Aces High, an officially licensed VR co-op heist game set in the iconic PAYDAY® universe. The title will launch on Meta Quest and SteamVR headsets in 2026, supporting Starbreeze’s strategy to expand PAYDAY through selected licensing partnerships and new entertainment formats. Starbreeze Entertainment today announced the continued expansion of PAYDAY, its flagship co-op heisting franchise, through PAYDAY: Aces High, an officially licensed VR co-op heist game developed by Fast Travel Games and revealed today at The VR Showcase. PAYDAY: Aces High is built specifically for virtual reality, bringing the planning, teamwork and signature chaos of a PAYDAY heist to a fully immersive format. The game is designed for up to four players in co-op, inviting players to gear up, plan jobs and execute daring heists together in VR.

Starbreeze and Fast Travel Games announce officially licensed VR game – PAYDAY®: Aces High

Starbreeze Entertainment has entered into a partnership with VICE Studios (Gangs of London) to create film and television adaptations based on the PAYDAY franchise. The collaboration supports Starbreeze’s strategy to expand the PAYDAY franchise into new entertainment formats while continuing to grow the brand across games.

Under the agreement, Starbreeze will work with VICE Studios to adapt PAYDAY for audiences beyond games, across screen and other formats. The parties will collaborate closely to ensure that future adaptations capture PAYDAY’s tone, characters, and high-stakes heist energy, while inviting new audiences into the franchise.
